The house you grew up in. The first place that was truly yours. The garden you're about to leave behind. A custom watercolour portrait turns any of these into a keepsake to carry with you for years to come.

FAQ
How long does it take?
Artwork is usually completed within 3–4 business days. Printing and shipping typically add another 3–7 business days after approval.
Does my photo have to be perfect?
No. I can tidy minor distractions, improve the composition and enhance the home before creating the artwork. Details hidden completely behind trees, vehicles or other objects may not be possible to recreate accurately. If your photo won't work, I'll tell you before I start rather than after.
Can you improve the garden or exterior?
Yes. I can tidy garden beds, improve patchy lawns and simplify visual clutter, while keeping the home recognisable and true to the original place.
Can you combine details from more than one photo?
Usually, yes. For example, I may be able to use one photo for the house and another for a clearer view of a garden, doorway or architectural detail.
Will I see the portrait before it's printed?
Yes. You will receive a digital proof to review and approve before your portrait goes to print.
Can I request changes?
Yes. Small revisions are included at the proof stage so we can make sure the finished portrait feels right.
Can I add names, dates or a personal message?
Yes. A personal inscription is included and can feature a house name, family name, address, date or short message.
Do you only create house portraits?
No. I also create portraits of wedding venues, restaurants, holiday properties and other meaningful places.
Are the portraits hand-painted?
Each portrait is digitally created from your photograph and then individually refined and hand-finished. I edit the source image, work through the architectural details, correct anything that does not look right, and add finishing touches before printing.
A few things you might be wondering
Can you remove unwanted objects?
Small distractions such as rubbish bins, hoses, signs, cables or minor garden clutter can usually be removed. Larger changes depend on the photograph and how much of the home is actually visible.
Is AI used to create the artwork?
Yes, and I'd rather tell you plainly than leave you guessing. AI-assisted rendering is one stage of how the artwork is made. It isn't a matter of typing a description and printing whatever comes back. I start with your actual photograph, prepare it, guide the rendering through several rounds, then correct the architecture by hand, rebuild the areas the technology gets wrong, and add the painted border and inscription myself. Every portrait is worked on individually from beginning to end.
Can I send you a photo before I order?
Please do. Send it through the contact form and I'll tell you honestly whether it'll make a good portrait, and what I'd be able to improve. There's no obligation either way.
Will the portrait look exactly like the photo?
The architecture and character of the home stay recognisable, but the finished piece is an artistic interpretation rather than a photographic copy. Colours, foliage and small details may be softened to create a cohesive watercolour finish.
